Job Description


We are currently seeking a cybersecurity data analyst to help us define problems, collect, transform and extract meaning from data, and build actionable conclusions for global cybersecurity (GCS) projects within the GCS metrics & reporting team. The position performs a wide range of activities with experts from GCS, data, business intelligence, governance, and other data analysts to collaboratively solve complex cybersecurity problems.

 

About the GCS Metrics & Reporting Team

The GCS metrics & reporting team is an exciting and growing area of cybersecurity with unique insight into the whole spectrum of our cybersecurity activity at State Street. The metrics team of data visualization and business intelligence experts is involved in the identification and implementation of key metrics, reports, and dashboards that provide visibility, insights, and accountability, identify trends in our cyber security controls, and inform our strategy and operations with audiences ranging from daily operational teams to the Board of Directors. As a cybersecurity data analyst within the GCS metrics and reporting team, you will have a significant opportunity to making a difference on the team, within the cybersecurity organization, as well as State Street overall.


What you will be responsible for

  • Under direct supervision, define problems, collect relevant data, transform data, extract meaning from data, and draw logical and coherent conclusions across a wide array of Business Intelligence, data and data visualization tools
  • Assisting to build data models, query data sources, clean data, and synthesize analysis in clear language, accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Python coding
  • Strong experience with relational and non-relational databases
  • Strong experience working with APIs
  • Strong experience with Databricks notebook development & SQL
  • Experience with wide range of data visualization tools, especially Microsoft Power BI
  • Familiarity with Agile project delivery, cloud computing, design thinking, cybersecurity metrics, business intelligence, data visualization best practices, accessibility

 

Salary Range:

$90,000 - $142,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
