Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic IT Infrastructure team. This role will involve providing comprehensive support for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and security of IT infrastructure across Milliman India. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of server management, networking, vulnerability management, and compliance, along with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Support:

  • Collaborate with the IT Infra team to deploy and implement new technologies and solutions, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance for all Milliman India users.
  • Assist the IT Infrastructure Manager in executing critical IT projects, contributing to timely and efficient completion.
  • Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for IT infrastructure-related issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Regularly maintain and update IT systems to ensure security, stability, and compliance with company standards.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT infrastructure services and operational efficiency.

Server and Network Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based server environments, including server hardware, operating systems, and related software.
  • Monitor server performance, perform system upgrades, and apply patches to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other critical infrastructure services.
  • Oversee network devices (routers, switches, Wireless APs) to ensure stable and secure connectivity across the organization.

Vulnerability Management:

  • Identify, assess, and prioritize vulnerabilities across infrastructure, applications, and systems using tools such as Qualys.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and remediation plans according to Milliman policies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement remediation efforts and ensure continuous monitoring of critical systems.

Security Policy and Compliance:

  • Evaluate existing security controls and processes to identify gaps and weaknesses in alignment with Milliman Information Security Policy (MISP).
  • Help implement, document, and test security solutions that adhere to industry best practices.

IT Project Participation:

  • Participate in IT project planning, contributing technical expertise and ensuring that infrastructure components are adequately designed and deployed.
  • Support the roll-out of new IT services, tools, and technologies, ensuring minimal disruption and seamless adoption.
  • Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Required Skills:

  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows-based environments Server and client operating systems.
  • System Administration: Hands-on experience with Windows environments, Microsoft systems administration, and Active Directory.
  • Cloud Technologies: Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.) and managing hybrid cloud environments.
  • Vulnerability Management: Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus) and a solid understanding of risk assessment and remediation.
  • Network Security: In-depth knowledge of network security practices, including firewall management, VPNs, and anti-malware systems.
  • Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of networking concepts (OSI model, TCP/IP, routing, switching).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical documentation and present solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Engagement: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage effectively with cross-functional teams.

Good to have Skills:

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of various data regulation like GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001 and NIST framework
  • Policy Development: Ability to develop, document, and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
  • Experience in PowerShell Scripting: Strong knowledge of PowerShell for automating administrative tasks, managing system configurations, and enhancing efficiency in Windows-based environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM: Hands-on experience in managing and deploying software, and patches using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), ensuring smooth and automated IT operations across the organization.

Preferred Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network, and security management.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CCNA, CISSP) are a plus.
