Job Description

The Information Security Intern is responsible for assisting with various projects within the department he/she is assigned to at Stride. Essential functions may vary from administrative, clerical and support level work to more hands-on tactical work as determined by business needs. The Intern will assist with the operations of an information security program that is aligned with Stride’s Corporate Policies and industry best practices around information security. You will help information governance operations to identify, assess, and update user access and identity information. You will interact with a variety of teams and functions in this capacity.

Position Overview:

The Information Security Intern at Stride will assist with various projects within the assigned department. The responsibilities will vary from administrative and clerical tasks to more hands-on and tactical work, depending on the business needs at the time. This role offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in information security, working closely with the Security Engineering and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily operations of Stride's Information Security program, ensuring it aligns with Corporate Policies and industry best practices.
  • Help with the identification, assessment, and updating of user access and identity information as part of information governance operations.
  • Participate in various projects, providing both administrative support and hands-on technical contributions.
  • Collaborate with different teams and functions across the organization, assisting with tasks such as data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Support the documentation and review of security controls, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist in tracking and reviewing the effectiveness of security tools and solutions in place.
  • Provide support in risk assessment activities and assist with updates based on evolving security requirements.
