About the Role:Neovera is seeking a seasoned, senior network security engineer to design, deploy, and configure security and networking controls on customer premise, in the Neovera Data Centers, and in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and Oracle). This position will report directly to the lead network engineer.You will require good analytical skills, good communication skills (written and verbal) and highly technical skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Technical Lead for security & network engineering tasks involving
- Design, Deployment, and Configuration of security and networking environments
- Engage with clients around our network, security and cloud solutions such as: Cisco ASA & Firepower and other security appliances, Cisco ISE, Cloud (AWS, Azure, OCI), Wireless (Meraki, Cisco, etc), Multivendor routing and switching platforms, Load Balancers (F5, etc)
- Continuously look to streamline and reduce costs via improving processes and automation
- Mentor team members on networking, security, and cloud
- Work with our Cyber Security and Network partners on integrating their technology and engage in private preview programs to stay up to date on the latest technology
- Identify weaknesses in customer infrastructures and suggest improvements
- Technical and analytical skills to handle security incidents and threats
- Resolve or escalate incidents
- Provide timely and reliable service to customers
- Mentor and train customers on the environments deployed
- Document designs, solutions, process, and procedures
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of information security and networking experience
- 2-3 years of cloud experience
- 3+ years of experience doing IT Security automation with scripting and/or programming languages
- 24x7 SOC experience working with or for an MSP and/or an MSSP is highly desirable
- Security & Networking Experience with designing, deploying, and configuring public cloud environments
- Networking experience with Azure controls such as Virtual Networks and Load Balancers
- Programming / shell scripting experience highly desirable (Powershell, Python, Java, shell scripts, etc.)
- Experience with multivendor security and platforms such as Cisco ASA & Firepower and Palo Alto.
- Experience with multivendor network platforms such as Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches and Cisco ISR and ASR routers
- Curiosity and strong desire to constantly learn
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or equivalent demonstrated experience and knowledge.
- Solid understanding of application, operating system, and network security
- Requirement for on-call work and working in a 24x7x365 environment
- Keen ability to troubleshoot technical, network and security problems
