DevSecOps Engineer

Barbaricum is seeking a highly skilled and experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our team in support of US Special Operations Command (SOCOM). As the DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining infrastructure needed for development, testing and deployment of SOCOM Intelligence Data Science Team capabilities, to include virtual machines, database servers, application programming interfaces/services, and containerized applications in cloud and on-prem based architectures. This position is designed for individuals who have multiple years of DevOps experience and a strong background in automated deployments, containerization and monitoring.  This role will integrate as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting SOCOM HQ, CJSOTF, SOTF, and SOCFWD during recurring planning events, customer requirement discussions, and capability development. 

Responsibilities

• Design infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and resilient 
• Work with software engineers to define requirements and infrastructure 
• Ensure compliance with configuration management tools 
• Troubleshoot issues across various cloud and on-premises environments 
• Implement and refine monitoring solutions to meet SLAs 

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance required
• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field (in lieu of formal degree, minimum of five years of related experience) 
• Demonstrated experience with Python, Terraform, Containers (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) 
• Experience with Apache, Docker, Postgres, GeoServer, Ubuntu is preferred
