Job Title: Alt ISSO/Secure AD Administrator
Clearance Required: Public Trust, US Citizen
Work Location: Silver Spring, MD; Remote

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified Alt ISSO and SecureAD Administrator who will manage all installed systems in the Active Directory infrastructure. They will establish, configure, test and maintain operating systems application systems and system management tools as well as evaluate the existing systems and provide the technical direction to IT support.  Other duties will be contributing to and maintaining IT Security related documents (SSP, PIA/BIA, FIPSrelated) and assisting in POA&M remediations and COOP exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creation of Waivers or Risk Acceptance Memos to assist in the effective management of system risks
  • Assist ISSO with conducting an annual assessment in accordance with guidance in the NOAA Information Security Performance Plan.
  • Review and update security authorization documents as needed, but at least annually
  • Assist ISSO with security planning and development of contingency plans for moderate systems
  • Perform system self-assessments as part of the customer's Ongoing Authorization program
  • Support ISSO in the creation, review, and update of cybersecurity documentation and other technical writing
  • Review binding operational objectives
  • Use NOAA and mandated enterprise IA Compliance Tools.
  • Assist with System Security Plan (SSP) revisions and maintenance
  • Proactively create, monitor and update the status of POA&Ms to ensure weaknesses are resolved in accordance with their scheduled completion dates.
  • Manage, support, troubleshoot and optimize domain related technologies and network protocols
  • Deploy, manage, and support SQL, ADFS software platforms
  • Manage and support domain controllers and supporting troubleshooting of gold workstation environments
  • Manage and update documentation for operating procedures
  • Understand current economic and technology trends as related to the business and information technology
  • Lead and articulate an organizational structure at a business level
  • Educate and provide guidance to support teams
  • Design outcome-based and integrated offerings within customer existing technology
  • Develop operational scenarios for a program based on customer objectives
  • Lead the development of the functional, architectural, and detailed designs
  • Write and execute test plans and procedures
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and assist in design solutions to complex engineering problems
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with different teams to implement those fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Degree or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or Engineering, or other comparable degree
  • Experience/Skills:
    • 5+ years Windows and Active Directory experience
    • POA&M Creation and milestone tracking
    • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with stakeholders

    Required Certifications:

    • Security+
    • CompTIA Pentest+

    Preferred Certifications:

    • CISSP
