Job Description:

Then GDIT is looking for you to fill an essential Operations Manager – Cyber role.

GDIT is a leading cybersecurity solutions provider.  We have an immediate need for an Operations Manager – Cyber to help drive consistent application of cyber best practices across a wide array of programs as we continue to adapt to a changing threat landscape. 
 

The ideal candidate will have experience leading organizational change efforts focused on cyber risk management. She or he must demonstrate an exceptional work ethic, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a background in performance management. They must be able to work with multiple stakeholders, often with differences in priorities, to establish clear, attainable solutions and project plans to achieve intended outcomes. They must be able to collaborate with different groups, most of which will not be direct reports, to align priorities and resources by drawing upon shared values and organizational commitment.  A background in organizational change, budgeting, and solutions architecture is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engaging cyber subject matter experts in the execution of cybersecurity strategic and tactical priorities.
  • Developing and executing processes to demonstrate progress for cyber projects, tasks, and risk management across a portfolio of programs.
  • Developing communications products to train personnel on new cyber processes.
  • Organizing and maintaining knowledge management artifacts to optimize processes, data reuse, and compliance.
  • Researching relevant cybersecurity topics to help shape strategic adoption. 
  • Ensuring successful execution of defined projects, ensuring intended outcomes are achieved.
  • Developing training for new capabilities and ensures all team members meet knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) standards
  • Developing and implementing program performance measures focused on demonstrating impact and mission fulfillment.
  • Supporting strategic program planning and resource alignment.

Daily Responsibilities

  • In close coordination with colleagues, develop and execute cybersecurity governance and oversight processes. 
  • Ensure all tasks are captured, assigned, and tracked.
  • Provide cybersecurity consulting services across a portfolio of programs.
  • Aid in prioritizing efforts and resources based on strategic and tactical goals and commitments.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a combination of the following: cybersecurity, solutions architecture, project management, workforce development, training, or enterprise change management.
  • Minimum (1) years supporting business development, capture, and proposal activities
  • Must be eligible for Top Secret Clearance
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Proficiency in written and oral communications across multiple stakeholder groups ranging from junior staff to senior executives. 
  • Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, and hands-on training materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree
  • CISSP, PMP, SAFe Agile Scrum master  
  • Proven ability to develop staff and maintain team morale.
  • Expert level technical writing skills.
  • Understanding of effective visual/graphical communications tools.
  • Experience developing and implementing effective performance measures.

The likely salary range for this position is $101,566 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
