Role and responsibilities 

SAP technology clearly is one of the backbones of the innovative power of our organization. As a senior SAP Security Expert, you will be responsible for conducting detailed and in-depth security assessments, both on new and existing SAP services within ASML, assist and advice project- and Agile teams on the implementation of security policies, requirements and controls.  

You will lead the implementation of further tooling, own- and drive the issue resolution process, analyze results, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Next to this you will also support the design of ASML’s SAP security roadmap and strategy and ensure that the associated projects get the right attention and priority. 

In this position you are expected to:  

• Bring in your extensive expertise and help drive the definition and design of ASML’s SAP Security roadmap and strategy.

• Further develop our SAP security monitoring platforms to enhance SAP security, ensuring seamless integration and effective utilization. 

• Conduct in-depth analysis of any anomalies, identifying vulnerabilities and areas of improvement within SAP systems. 

• Clearly communicate the functionality and significance of security tools used to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

• Communicate observations to the relevant stakeholders, advise on mitigation and follow up on actions till they are covered.

• Assess SAP (cloud) services, systems, platforms, API’s and any other components in the wider SAP platform stack for compliance with policies and requirements, or, where appropriate define new policies and requirements and drive the organizational embedding.

In this role you are positioned in the 2nd line Security organization in the Risk & Business Assurance (R&BA) department of ASML Corporate. 

Education and experience  

Experience with security on a wide range of SAP applications, in multiple (enterprise) environments (or alternatively as a consultant for the Big Four) is a must in this role as well as having  hands-on experience in implementing and utilizing SAP security tools.  

You have excellent influencing and interpersonal skills, being able to further develop SAP security within ASML by building trusting and long term relationships. You are tenacious and possess the ability to overcome organizational resistance, as well as the ability to interact across all levels of the organization. 

You are a self-starter, able to operate autonomously with little guidance. Last but not least, you are comfortable in starting up several projects at the same time without losing the overview and bigger picture. The ideal candidate will also have:  

• Bachelor- or Master degree in Informatics, IT management, Business Management or similar education. 

• Minimum of 10+ years professional experience with a focus on SAP, SAP GRC, or SAP security. 

• Experience with a wide range of SAP applications and SAP security tools.

• Experience with pen-testing, threat and vulnerability analysis, or IT Security risk assessments on IT services and applications. 

• Deep Knowledge of current security technologies, current and future developments for SAP, in-depth working knowledge of IT Risk/security frameworks and best practices, such as NIST Cyber security framework, ISF Standard of Good Practice for Information Security, IEC 62443, NIST SP 800 30 framework, ISO 27001/2 framework. 

Other information 

Valid industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP and/or CISA and IT audit experience are a plus.
