About this role:

Carrier is looking for software, electrical, mechanical, systems, and other engineering majors with demonstrated leadership ability and strong academic performance to join our competitive Carrier Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). The ELP offers new graduates an opportunity to deliver impactful contributions to strategic projects through three eight-month rotations across various Carrier business units.

Candidates selected for the program will receive front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch their capabilities and accelerate their professional development. In addition to the hands-on experience, the program includes high-caliber training, mentorship, and guidance from our diverse team of Carrier executives and program alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues.

Carrier’s Global Product Cybersecurity has an opening for an engineer with a background or interest in Cybersecurity, and Computer Science/Software Engineering. Interest or experience in secure development is a plus. The successful candidate will serve as a contributing member of the product cybersecurity team and will play a vital role in many aspects of product and system delivery and the assurance of security within Carrier offerings.

The purpose of the Global Product Security organization is the enhancement of Carrier products and services, and assurance of cyber competitive advantage by driving:

  • Brand reputation and advancement within the product cyber domain

  • Secure development, continuous improvement and security maturity of products and services

  • Assurance of secure operations, response, support, and channel engagement for all offerings

  • Product innovation and differentiation leveraging cybersecurity capabilities and expertise 

Our mission is the support and fulfillment of all production, operational and commercial cyber-related demand, objectives, and requirements, such that the success of all Product Security stakeholders is achieved, and strategic opportunities for Carrier are realized.

This position is based in Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Atlanta, GA.

Please note: this role is part of Carrier’s Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). We are currently recruiting for the 2024 ELP Cohort to start at Carrier in June 2024.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Product Cybersecurity mission and objectives

  • Support and contribute to proactive and/or reactive cybersecurity initiatives and projects

  • Enable best outcomes for Carrier product cybersecurity stakeholders and customers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, software, electrical, systems, or other relevant engineering fields

  • To be eligible for the program, you must be a 2023 or 2024 graduate of the degree in the relevant field

  • 3.0 or higher GPA

  • A minimum of one prior internship or co-op experience in a related field

  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

  • Willing to rotate and relocate to US offices over the course of the two-year program

  • Ability to start position on Leadership Program start date in June 2024

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proactive and results-driven; thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated technical understanding and skills in general engineering, software, systems, electrical, Model-based development (MBD), chemical or mechanical

  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages

  • Experience with software development principles and processes

  • Understanding of software engineering design, architecture concepts and methods
