Cybersecurity Analyst at Nevermore Solutions

Overview

At Nevermore Solutions, we pioneer innovative strategies to drive digital transformation for diverse organizations, including complex federal agencies. We are currently seeking a talented and committed Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to ensuring the highest level of security measures for our clients while contributing to our mission of empowering them to maximize their potential.

As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of identifying, evaluating, and mitigating risks. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and implementing security measures that protect both information and network infrastructures. Working alongside a team of IT and cybersecurity professionals, you will take an active role in incident response planning, vulnerability assessments, and compliance audits.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remedial actions.
• Incident Response: Lead and participate in incident response efforts to mitigate and investigate security incidents.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to federal and industry security standards and regulations.
• Vulnerability Management: Execute regular security audits, scans, and detailed penetration testing.
• Security Awareness: Develop and lead internal cybersecurity training programs to elevate organizational security posture.
• Collaboration: Work closely with ITAM and ITSM teams to integrate cybersecurity best practices into broader governance and service delivery strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or similar cybersecurity certifications are required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is required; however, an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree. Please note that some positions may have a non-negotiable degree requirement based on customer specifications. 
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and various security software.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and analytical thinking skills.
• Federal Experience: Previous experience working with federal agencies is a plus.
