Digital Development Services (DDS) is part of RIS division of Roche, which provides digital product for various diagnostic workflow and services. We are part of RIS and work on digitization of pathology workflow in pathology lab operation to improve accuracy, efficiency and turnaround time for pathologist. We provide on premise and cloud deployed end-to-end digital workflow solutions to pathology labs across the globe.

Your Opportunity

The Tech Lead Engineer is a member of a team of 10+ engineers and will apply knowledge of design principles, practices in the implementation of complex, enterprise-scale software systems. General responsibilities include enforce security in design, participating in design reviews for components or features, inspect and implement cyber security safe guards, security analysis of all product components, mitigate security issues found and risk assess product with low risk issues.

Works autonomously or in a small team on specific product features with occasional guidance and in coordination with other team mates. Establishing an internal network across technical teams. Lead other backend engineers in design and security related challenges and review their work to ensure security of deliverables. We are looking for an engineer who have worked on cyber security implementation and enhancement of the product in the past experience.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Analyze and implement security issues reported in backend.

• Write clean, well designed, testable, efficient and maintainable code.

• Enhance cyber security of the product with implementation and upgrade of existing tools/libraries.

• Perform regular cyber security penetration testing, report issues, and integrate product with external partner APIs.

• Write reusable code and libraries and enhance application for maximum speed and scalability

• Review code written by fellow junior developers from security and vulnerability perspective.

• Involve in stand-up, sprint planning, and demos with co-workers

Who You Are

• BS/BTech/MS degree in Computer Science or directly related discipline.

• 10+ years of hands-on industry experience as a full stack developer.

• Experience in Cybersecurity testing and enhancement of product, issue fixing and risk assessment is must for this role

• Must have hands on experience of Java, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Rest services & APIs and must have hands on experience in designing concurrent and multitenant services.

• Must have hands on experience in cloud development prominently using AWS.

• Solid understanding of design patterns, object-oriented design.

• Quick learner with the ability to understand complex workflows and develop and validate innovative solutions to solve difficult problems
