Overview: Join the TCS LINUX Team and be part of a long-term contract supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise-wide network security solutions in support of national security. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, analyze, and implement network security solutions that align with customer business and mission goals.
  • Assist in designing, testing, and implementing secure network architectures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for network design.
  • Manage remote network security, including incident and problem management.
  • Oversee security infrastructure maintenance and advanced configuration (firewalls, IDS, load balancers, web and mail gateways).
  • Lead investigations of security-related incidents and develop corrective measures.
  • Develop and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) for security tools.
  • Act as a liaison to contract and customer management regarding network security policies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to pass a Government Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of technical experience in Network Security with large-scale global networks or equivalent experience in a Network Operations environment.
  • Proficiency with firewalls (Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco), routers/switches (Juniper, Cisco), IDS products (FireEye, F5 Load Balancer, Cisco FTD), Unix, RHEL OS, Windows AD, and VMware.
  • Experience with Python scripting.
  • DoD IAT Level II certification and CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of hire.

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • DoD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification (current)
  • DoD CSSP Infrastructure Support certification (within six months of hire)
