As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization including protecting sensitive data and digital assets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Varian cybersecurity program helping drive cybersecurity implementation in core areas such as supplier risk management, application security and data protection
  • Educate, influence and work with business owners globally to implement necessary controls and best practices related to identified risks
  • Collaborate with business, corporate cybersecurity and IT teams to promote cybersecurity, and provide transparency on the adequacy of controls and related risks
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and processes
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management initiatives
  • Appropriately assess risk when business and technical decisions are made, demonstrating risk management mindset

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications e.g., Security+, ISC2 CC, CGRC preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing projects, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience in cybersecurity. Specific experience with third-party risk management or application security preferred.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of related experience.

Nice to have: Relevant certifications such as Security+, ISC2 CC, CGRC are a plus.

Varian is required to comply with all local and applicable regulations that may be associated with vaccine requirements for certain roles.
