Senior Technical Risk Advisor – Denver, Colorado - Austin, Texas

In this critical role, you will assess and report on the operational effectiveness of controls and procedures, as well as the risk posture, of information resources and technologies to ensure appropriate safeguarding of Western Union’s data.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with technology stakeholders to recommend remediation activities to reduce risk
  • Utilize strong policy and process knowledge, as well as experience with different control domains to ensure compliance with Information Security Program.
  • Communicate evolving Security and Compliance requirements to a variety of internal audiences across the company.  
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a broad range of security, compliance and technical risk management standards and frameworks such as PCI, SOC, and NIST
  • Evaluate the confidentiality, integrity and availability of a wide variety of information systems
  • Assess risk, recommends remediation to improve risk posture

Qualifications:

  • 5+ yrs of Information Security or IT Audit/Risk experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least one of the following certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC.
  • Strong experience with information assurance, risk management and assessment in technical environment

Salary

The on-target earnings range is $105,500 - $135,000 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
