Ibotta is seeking an Information Security Intern to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As a participant in our 2025 Summer Internship, you will have the opportunity to fully integrate with your team to directly contribute to ongoing Ibotta business initiatives. In addition to the daily time with your team, you will participate in ongoing teach outs curated to help build skills essential to transitioning into the workforce and building your career. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, excited to work on real-world business challenges, and want to be part of a mission-driven company.

This will be a full-time, 12 week, internship during the summer of 2025. This position is located

in Denver, Colorado. Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting in preparing for and conducting internal and external compliance audits (SOC2, SOX), including collecting evidence, reviewing documentation, and tracking remediation efforts.

  •  Learning and utilizing GRC tools and technologies to support GRC processes and activities.

  • Assisting in reviewing and monitoring the security practices of third-party vendors and partners.

  • Participating in risk assessments to identify, analyze, and evaluate potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization's information assets.

  • Supporting the development and delivery of security awareness training programs to educate employees about information security best practices.

  •  Assisting in the development, review, and maintenance of information security policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Conducting research and analysis on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to enhance Ibotta’s security program.

What we are looking for:

  • Juniors working towards a bachelor’s degree with a focus in Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Proven ability to think creatively and implement ideas from start to finish

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Hunger to learn and collaborate with your teammates

  • Familiarity with information security principles

Additional Details:

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay and housing assistance for out of state students.

  • The hourly compensation for this role is: $25.77 per hour worked. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market.
