IAM Operations/Business Analyst

 

Job Description:

Seeking a skilled Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) and Operations Specialist to join our team who will be responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of identity governance along with overseeing the day-to-day management and operation of Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems and processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization's digital resources are securely accessible to authorized users while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. You will play a key role in ensuring the security, integrity, and efficiency of our organization's digital identities and access controls.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer IAM Platforms: Administer and maintain identity governance and access management systems, overseeing user provisioning, access requests, role-based access control (RBAC), and authentication mechanisms.
  • Implement IAM Policies: Implement and enforce IAM policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital assets.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work with cross-functional teams, including IT security, compliance, and application owners, to define IAM requirements and deploy solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Monitor IAM Systems: Continuously monitor IAM systems for security incidents, performance issues, and compliance deviations, promptly responding to mitigate identified risks.
  • Conduct Access Reviews and Audits: Conduct periodic access reviews and audits to ensure access privileges align with business requirements and comply with established policies.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders on IAM-related matters, including account management, password resets, and access troubleshooting.
  • Access Reviews and Certifications: Conduct access reviews and certifications to ensure access privileges align with business requirements, least privilege principles, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Role Management: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining RBAC frameworks, including role definition, assignment, and lifecycle management.
  • Entitlement Analysis: Perform entitlement analysis and cleanup activities to identify and remove excessive, redundant, or unauthorized access privileges.
  • Policy Enforcement: Enforce access management policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and secure provisioning, deprovisioning, and management of user access privileges.
  • Incident Response: Respond to access-related incidents, security events, and audit findings by conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and documenting remediation efforts.
  • Integration Management: Manage integrations between IAM systems and other security and IT systems, such as directory services, HR systems, and ticketing systems.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Generate and analyze access management reports, metrics, and dashboards to monitor compliance, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of access management controls.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in Identity and Access Management operations, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of IAM concepts, principles, and technologies, including directory services, SSO (Single Sign-On), MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), and identity governance.
  • Hands-on experience with identity governance and access management systems, such as SailPoint IdentityIQ,IdentityNow or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and PCI-DSS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at troubleshooting complex IAM issues and recommending effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or IAM certifications (e.g., CIAM, CIMP) are advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
