Family Description

Applied R&D (AR) consists of target-oriented research either with the goal of solving a particular problem / answering a specific question or for multi-discipline design, development, and implementation of hardware, software, and systems including maintenance support. Supplies techno-economic consulting to clients. AR work is characterised by its detailed and complex nature in order to systematically combine existing knowledge and practices to further developing and incrementally improving products, operational processes, and customer-specific feature development.

Subfamily Description

Software (SWA) comprises the definition, specification, and allocation of requirements from different sources utilising knowledge of systems engineering processes (specification & architecture). Contains processing of use case and feature requirements into conceptual models, operational scenarios, technical requirements, and functional description. Covers specification, design, implementation, and unit testing of Software (e.g. device drivers, microcode, hardware-related software & firmware) according to the requirements and architecture defined in the systems engineering process. Covers establishment and maintenance of Software Configuration Management (SCM) practices into software development projects, continuously building and integrating infrastructure tools and systems.

 


•  Work on internal and external Customer Requirements (feature inputs) and drive analysis efforts to help build the feature into the product.
•  Make System Feature Specifications (SFS) for Radio Access Network products (SRAN/Cloud RAN/ORAN) in Product Security Category. This involves Analyzing the Feature at system level (includes doing feasibility studies), Specifying System Requirements and Use Cases, Define Network Element Interfaces and System level Feature spilt.
•  Act as Security Lead for the assigned product and get involved in Security Hardening, Security Architecture, Threat and Risk analysis, Security Vulnerability Management etc.
•  Help guide Task forces and other teams (e.g. Element Feature Specification teams, SW & Testing teams, Product Management, Customer support teams) to solve key and critical issues found in R&D / field.
•  Make long term improvements to specification work and improvements to team environment and guide new innovations.
 

You have:
•  Qualification: BE\BTech\MTech\MCA in Computer Science\Electronics\Telecom, with overall experience 9-18 years, fluent in spoken and written English as well as good communication skills.
•  Domain Knowledge in User Security\Platform Security\Network Security areas e.g. PKI, Certificates\Certificate management, D-H, IKE, IP networking basics, firewall, Linux basics.
•  Knowledge of SRAN\WCDMA\GSM\LTE\5G\ORAN\Cloud RAN technologies & Radio Access Network Product Architecture.
•  Good interpersonal skills and capability to work in international multi-site environment.

 

It would be nice if you also had:
•  Experience in System Requirement development & management process (SFS) and tools (DOORs).
•  Experience on tools like Nmap, Nessus will be added advantage.
•  Security certifications like CISSP, CCSP will be added advantage.
