We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Security Analyst to join our growing Information Security team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to start or grow their career in information security, working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and Analyze: Continuously monitor security alerts from various sources (e.g. SIEM, SOC, EDR) and analyze and investigate potential threats to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Incident Response: Assist in responding to security incidents, including detection, investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery.
  • Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments using automated tools, analyze results, and assist in the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Security Audits: Support regular security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of security incidents, findings, and remediation actions. Assist in creating and updating security policies, procedures, and playbooks.
  • Threat Intelligence: Assist in gathering and analyzing threat intelligence to stay informed about the latest information security trends, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other technical team members to ensure a coordinated approach to information security.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Certifications: Entry-level information security certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH) are preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and information security principles. Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR solutions, and vulnerability scanners is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, ensuring that even the smallest security vulnerabilities are not overlooked.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment, demonstrating collaboration and a willingness to learn from senior team members.
