Specialist-Vulnerability Management

Summary:

The Senior Qualys Engineer is responsible for engineering of the large global Qualys platform deployment, and identification and assessment of vulnerabilities in a large enterprise environment (Cloud and DevOps environment).

A candidate for this role will have a mindset of a defender and be able to operate in a fast-paced environment working closely with our IT infrastructure services that includes networking, firewalls and network security, hypervisors, servers, and business application development area.

Primary Skills:

• At least 6+ years’ experience in Information Security or Information Technology field.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or equivalent combined experience.

• In-depth experience with Qualys platform (VM, PC, WAS)

• In-depth experience with running enterprise vulnerability assessment programs

• Working knowledge of Python and common DevOps technologies (GitHub, Jenkins, Docker etc.)

• Familiarity with key Cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and APIs

• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and common IT infrastructure technologies (application servers, databases, networking)

• Knowledge of vulnerability scans and assessments on network devices, servers, applications, and databases.

• Knowledge of the security operations and security governance processes (policies, processes)

• Knowledge of common vulnerability management standards (CVE, CVSS, EPSS).

• Familiarity with offensive security, adversarial tactics, techniques, and procedures (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK)

• Experience working with agile project management (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).

Secondary Skill:

• Knowledge of ISMS frameworks (ISO 27001) and risk management process

• Familiarity with common data management platforms (PostgreSQL, Power BI, etc.)

Soft Skill:

• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset

• Strong verbal and written communication in English language

• Experience working in multi-cultural environments

• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
