DUTIES: SCOR Reinsurance Company seeks Cyber Underwriter in New York, NY to use technical cybersecurity and risk assessment expertise to evaluate cyber risks for existing and prospective clients. Proactively manage portfolio of cyber risks and make any necessary adjustments in the industry mix, attachment points and limits to ensure a long term, profitable book of business. Achieve and exceed the financial targets including profitability, expense, and premium for this line of business. Act as a subject-matter expert and support underwriting colleagues in the assessment and selection of cyber risks. Provide training as needed on cybersecurity exposures and best practices. Provide strategic value for our clients by working alongside them to identify, understand, and effectively manage their cyber risks. Provide expertise on cyber loss trends, and wording/coverage trends. Lead the roll out of the Cyber Physical Damage product, collaborate with new and existing clients to help identify potential exposures and coverage gaps. Leveraging expertise in Energy Insurance Market, act as a key resource in business development efforts to raise awareness of this product to new and existing clients. Gather and share market intelligence with the Cyber team, stay on top of emerging legal, regulatory, and industry trends to influence our underwriting strategy and market positioning. Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing distribution partners. Drive new business opportunities by regular visits with brokers in the region.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Economics or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation: analyzing technology errors and omissions (E&O) and cyber risk exposures of companies in industries including manufacturing, aerospace and defense, or financial institutions; utilizing experience understanding main driver of loss for manufacturing, aerospace and defense, and financial institutions industry segments; demonstrating understanding of technology errors and omissions (E&O) and Cyber policy forms and coverage types; utilizing knowledge of policy forms available in market place from primary markets to assess if terms and conditions of the deal fall withing underwriting guidelines; and working with pricing tool including using and interpreting results of pricing model. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. In the alternative, the employer will accept two (2) years of experience in the insurance field as meeting the degree requirement. 15% of travel required primarily nationally and occasionally internationally. Offered salary is between $160,000 and $199,065 per year. 40 hours per week.
