About the work environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role, you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll work regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with flexibility around start/end times.

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto Office. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

The role requires the candidate to participate in an on-call rotation, acting as an escalation path.

About you:

You are a self-driven and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in analyzing, documenting, and optimizing identity management processes. You thrive on collaborating with stakeholders from technology, operations and security to ensure the successful delivery of identity solutions.  Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability or our systems and data.

About the day-to-day:

  • Lead and develop the Identity Management and Access Control platform team.
  • Develop and execute authentication, SSO, and access control strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.
  •  Ensure successful execution of IAM projects and solutions in collaboration with operations, information security, architecture, and project managers.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for IAM Services and affiliated technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
  • Design and implement adoption strategies for major product initiatives, ensuring successful launches.
  • Implement solutions to meet audit & compliance requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance and security requirements are closely monitored by working with the project teams.
  • Monitor product performance and user feedback, optimizing the product based on data and feedback.
  • Manage the prioritization and resolution of product-related issues.
  • Oversee team performance, budgeting, resourcing plans, and annual planning.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in developing and executing new product features.

About the qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP a distinct advantage.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience leading IT/enterprise technology teams, with 5+ years focused on implementing or maintaining enterprise IAM solutions.
  • Deep understanding of identity protocols and technologies, including OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect, and LDAP.
  • Hands-on experience with Auth0, Okta, Active Directory (Entra ID), SailPoint, and Siteminder.
  • Familiarity with IAM lifecycle processes and cloud services (Azure, AWS) and their IAM tools.
  • Knowledge of modern technologies such as Java, Kafka, and Neo4j is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and organizational skills specifically including the ability to present complex architectural strategies and directions to both IT and business staff including executives.

Compensation:

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. The salary for this position will vary between $120,000 and $140,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience that the chosen candidate possess.
