The One 23 Group, a Virginia-based Government Contractor, seeks a Lead Business Systems Analyst local to Washington DC Metropolitan area. 

We are seeking a Lead Business Systems Analyst who will provide technical support for Penetration Testing, cybersecurity, and Information Assurance tasks. This position involves cradle-to-grave oversight of IT and cybersecurity processes related to applications and infrastructure, as well as analyzing and documenting existing business operations. The Lead Business Systems Analyst works closely with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operational requirements, while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations and enterprise directives.

This role is integral in identifying vulnerabilities, developing test plans to evaluate security measures, and supporting Red and Blue Team activities. The Lead Business Systems Analyst is responsible for generating reports that provide analysis, probable causes, and possible solutions for security issues, as well as implementing strategies to enhance system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Penetration Testing & Cybersecurity Support: Act as a top-level technical contributor for penetration testing and other cybersecurity-related tasks, helping to circumvent security features of applications, systems, and networks.
• Business & Systems Analysis: Analyze and document existing business operations and practices, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems. Gather data to support business cases, systems requirements, and proposed projects.
• Security Controls & Risk Mitigation: Assist in selecting cost-effective security controls to mitigate risks and protect business information and processes.
• Compliance Evaluation: Analyze site/enterprise Computer Network Defense (CND) policies and evaluate compliance with relevant regulations and Enterprise Directives.
• Exercise Design & Execution: Plan, design, develop, and launch exercises to test security features and processes within the organization.
• Report Generation: Compile detailed reports based on findings from system analysis and security tests, offering probable causes and solutions to improve security and business operations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with decision-makers, systems owners, and end users to identify business, financial, and operational requirements, defining systems goals and resolving systems-related issues.
• Strategy Development: Develop strategies for improving existing systems by identifying key areas for improvement and setting measurable goals.
• Red and Blue Team Support: Support Red and Blue Team cybersecurity activities to identify system vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. 
• Experience: 
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in business systems analysis, with a focus on cybersecurity and IT infrastructure.
• Certifications:
• REQUIRED: Must possess one of the following:
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
• CompTIA Security+
• DESIRED (not required):
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• ITIL Foundation Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
