JOB PURPOSE

The IDAM Analyst will be responsible for supporting the development, management and operation of our global IAM services, including identities, authentication, authorisation, directory and user management services. Ensure secure access to systems and applications whilst maintaining compliance with security policies and standards. 

They will work directly with managed service providers to support our global IAM enterprise solutions, i.e. IDPs, MFA, SSO & PAM.  

Critical to the role is stakeholder management, and a close working relationship with other teams across IT.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

The IAM Analyst will be responsible for:

Identity Management:

  • Administer and manage user identities and access permissions across various systems and applications.
  • Perform regular audits and reviews of user accounts and access rights to ensure compliance with security policies.

Access Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain access control policies and procedures.
  • Manage role-based access controls (RBAC), ensuring appropriate access levels are maintained for all users.
  • Authentication and Authorization:
  • Support and maintain authentication systems, including Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve authentication and authorization issues promptly.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Participate in security assessments and audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Partner and Internal Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage and collaborate with IDAM partners & vendors, build relationships with account teams
  • Proactively engage service desk and other support teams to manage and improve joiners, movers, leavers, and other access management processes

Project Support:

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of IDAM projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate IDAM solutions into new and existing systems.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in identity and access management.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the security and efficiency of IDAM processes.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Experience working within or adjacent to the IDAM discipline
  • Strong understanding of identity management concepts, including user provisioning, access controls, and directory services
  • Experience of one or more of the following technologies: EntraID, PingFederate, PingOne, PingID, BeyondTrust PAM, and SailPoint IdentityNow
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A competitive and resilient approach to your work, continuously challenging yourself to exceed targets and improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Passionate about service / IAM - keeps up to date on the latest news and trends
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IDAM (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus.
