Job Responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing: Help in scanning systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents: Work with the security operations team to monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
• Security auditing: Participate in security audits and reviews of systems, networks, and applications to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Data encryption and firewalls: Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and other security infrastructure.
• Research security trends: Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and techniques.
• Develop security documentation: Help create and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
• Security awareness training: Support the development of security awareness programs and help educate staff on cybersecurity best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve security-related issues.

Pre-Requisites :

• Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of network security, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and common security tools.
• Familiarity with firewalls, encryption, and security protocols.
• Understanding of security principles such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA triad).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (Python, Bash) is a plus.
• Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus but not required.
