About the role

In this role you will help implement the ACSC Essential 8 including:

  • patch applications
  • patch operating systems
  • multi-factor authentication
  • restrict administrative privileges
  • application control
  • restrict Microsoft Office macros
  • user application hardening
  • regular backups

Our broad banding across ICT 1 means we are considering a wide range of skills for this position.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Period of appointment

36 months.

Desirable requirements

  • A tertiary or vocational education qualification in Cyber Security, ICT, Information Management or experience to a similar level.
  • Specialist knowledge and expertise in cyber security frameworks e.g. ACSC’s Essential 8 and ISM, ISO 27001, NIST CSF 2, etc.
  • A security clearance of Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) or the ability to obtain one.
  • Current driver’s licence.
