Job Description

The primary responsibility is to setup, lead and manage the IT security services organization, delivering SOC, Thread Intelligence and Vulnerability Management services to METRO worldwide. This includes overseeing daily operations, managing communications with the METRO SOC team, and continuously striving to enhance service quality and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Repsonsibilities:

 

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of TI, VM and SOC services, including incident response support, threat detection, vulnerability management, and other security operations activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for METRO SOC, ensuring effective communication, managing client relationships, and addressing any concerns or escalations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, IT security professionals, engineers, and project managers, to ensure the timely and successful delivery of services.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure service quality and adherence to client requirements.
  • Conduct regular service reviews with clients to review performance, address any issues, and identify opportunities for service improvement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of SOC professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in SOC services, and drive the implementation of new tools and processes to enhance service delivery.

Technical & Soft skills:

 

  • In-depth knowledge of IT security services, as well as running an security operations center (SOC) operation, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
  • Familiarity with SOC technologies and tools such as Google Chronicle SIEM, CrowdStrike EDR/EPP, Vectra NDR, Qualys VM, Recorded Future TI, etc.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK framework, Magma Framework, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.
  • Strong leadership and people to effectively lead and motivate a team of IT security professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing security threats and evolving business requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure, especially during critical security incidents or data breaches.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, SANS/GIAC) may be preferred.
  • 8 years or above relevant professional experience, preferably in a known MSSP or in an organization of similar size.
