Summary

We are looking for a “Systems Engineer (f/m/d)” for the “Spectrum Dominance Ground Support and Cloud Solutions” department at the Ulm site as soon as possible.

The “Spectrum Dominance Ground Support and Cloud Solutions” department is responsible for the design, implementation, integration and acceptance of ground support systems. These are software solutions that support customers in the programming and verification of their electronic warfare systems. The range of tasks includes the recording of requirements, the management of software development and the procurement of hardware through to the integration and acceptance of the systems.

Your Tasks

• Analysis and definition of requirements and interfaces for ground support systems 

• Creation of architectures and technical concepts with a special focus on on-premises cloud solutions together with software development 

• Planning and technical management of software development in the role of product owner of a team of approx. 40 employees

• Management of subcontractors for the implementation of the IT infrastructure and procurement of test tools

• Planning the implementation of integration, acceptance tests and qualification

• Coordination of delivery to the customer

Your Profile

• Degree in communications engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable course of study

• Many years of practical experience in the management and technical leadership of development projects

• Extensive experience in systems engineering, system modeling and DevOps

• Experience with client server-based software solutions and web technologies

• Ideally knowledge of electronic warfare or mission data processing

• Practical experience with agile methods and processes

• Experience in dealing with customers and a confident manner

• Business fluent in German and very good knowledge of English
