About the opportunity:

You will provide a range of Wintel engineering advisory duties supporting our clients in Defence and Govt, either on client site or back of office.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Defence Wintel Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and security of our systems to support upcoming Defence contracts in either permanent or contracting engagements.

As a Wintel Engineer at C4i Solutions, your specific technical responsibilities include:

• Aligned with your area of expertise, and as specified by each client engagement.
• Manage and maintain Windows servers and workstations.
• Oversee the management of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, MS Exchange, and DHCP.
• Ensure system security through regular updates and monitoring.
• Perform system performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and staff.
• Provide specified support to proprietary classified Defence software in Protected, Secret, and Coalition environments.
• Provide IT Helpdesk support (up to L2 for most cases), including encryption devices and IP security.

Your personal attributes:

• Australian Citizen with a current or recently inactive AGSVA clearance.
• Customer-focused, with a values-based approach.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise.
• Initiative and adaptability.
• Strong relationship-building and conflict-management skills.
• A level of commercial acumen.
• A self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
• High level of written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a broader team.

Your experience:

• Industry experience aligned with your domain specialisation.
• Ex-Defence Force experience is highly regarded.
• Cyber security GRC experience is an advantage.
