Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor and report on the implementation of IT security and governance standards that pertain to adherence of the same to ICT infrastructure, business systems, integrations and vendor management
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of IT security and governance standards that pertain to ICT infrastructure protection, health and availability/uptime.
  • Monitor and report on IT security standards that pertain to user management adherence requirement: setup, changes, access and authentication and systems action logging
  • Escalate and report on ICT devices and systems attack, destructive/unauthorized access and continuous protection.
  • Perform IT security and governance assessments for the ICT infrastructure and systems security and recommend correction measures thereof.

Report on the state of ICT standards and governance levels of adherence line with ICT policy.

 

Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in IT and/or related field from a recognized university.
  • ICT security standards, management or governance certification that relate to current technologies.
  • IT Governance Standards
  • Core banking systems
  • IT Security and Security appliances
  • Systems Administration
  • Banking operations or financial services or telco experience
  • Knowledge of ICT security standards and data management 
  • Professionalism –maintains a professional approach based on ethics and NBK values
  • Integrity and honesty and ethics- ensures ethical practices and integrity and ensures NBK is not put at reputational risk 
  • Building consensus and influencing-ability to influence various players across all NBK departments 
  • Customer orientation-is customer focused striking a solid balance between external and internal customer orientation
  • Resilience –is able to withstanding strategic and operational challenges and maintain momentum 
  • Certified Ethical Hacker certification (CEH).
  • Minimum 5 years in IT Management with at least 3 years in ICT Security Management or governance
  • Knowledge on file processing and file formats
  • Supervisory and management-ability to lead, mentor and coach staff to goal definition and achievement 
  • Excellent communication skills; articulate in communicating to both internal and external stakeholders at level levels.
  • Innovation; able to keep up with trends of meeting the demands of dynamic controls thereof.
  • Multi-tasking; able to manage several concurrent assignments and prioritise demands.
