What We're Looking For
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Developer Advocate to join our Lightning AI team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building strong connections with the developer community, producing high-quality technical content, and driving the adoption of our developer-focused solutions.You will promote best practices for our users on how to best use the Lightning AI platform through various channels.
You will be joining the Marketing Team and report to our VP of Design. This is a hybrid role based in our Palo Alto office with in-office requirements of 2 days per week. We are open to New York City candidates but Palo Alto is preferred. The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000.
What You’ll Do
- Cultivate strong relationships with the developer community by actively engaging with their questions, challenges, and ideas across Lightning AI support channels, social media platforms, and developer forums such as Hacker News and Reddit.
- Seek and capitalize on opportunities to grow our community presence and enhance developer trust through participation in industry events, conferences, co-marketing initiatives, and other partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with our engineering team to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries, feedback, and bug reports.
- Become a go-to expert for our developer community by continuously staying informed about our platform’s features and the broader technical landscape.
- Work with the product and marketing teams to create programs and content that showcase new features and practical use cases for Lightning.
- Assist in product launches and provide technical guidance to help developers effectively utilize new features.
- Relay developer feedback and pain points to the GTM (Go-to-Market) team to ensure their needs are understood and addressed.
- Monitor and analyze community engagement metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness, and share insights with cross-functional teams to support broader business goals.
- Create engaging content for community engagement, including articles, blog posts, webinars, social media updates, and virtual events to educate and empower community members for continued success with Lightning.
What You’ll Need
- A solid foundation in a technical discipline, such as a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency with Python, machine learning, deep learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, PyTorch Lightning), and familiarity with open-source and SaaS AI models.
- Hands-on experience engaging with and contributing to open-source communities.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality content tailored to developers, including blogs, tutorials, and videos.
- Willingness and ability to travel to conferences, hackathons, and other events to represent and promote Lightning AI
