Title : Cyber Engineer

Base location : Athens-Koropi, Greece

We can offer a hybrid approach to office and remote working. We would expect 3 or 4 days per week as the standard days on Athens-Koropi site.

High level objectives of the position:

  • Thales Hellas’ cyber team member.

  • Participate on Thales Hellas cyber lab’s growth through training & other cyber business offerings.   

  • Be part of Cyber related R&D programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, and implementation of cybersecurity solutions and services in complex environments.

  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify and remediate security risks in systems and applications of external stakeholders.

  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security solutions.

  • Develop and maintain security automation tools and scripts to improve efficiency and effectiveness of cyber security.

  • Perform Cyber Security trainings (in various levels and profiles) and provide security guidance and recommendations to external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Cybersecurity engineering or related role.

  • Knowledge of implementation of Digital Twins will be considered as a plus.

  • Knowledge of SOAR tools (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response).

  • Knowledge of software—security information and event management (SIEM) products, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and intrusion prevention systems (IPS).

  • Knowledge of security best practices & industry standards and experience with security technologies.

  • Knowledge in conducting security assessments and penetration testing will be considered as a plus.

  • Multi-level communication skills, self-motivated with demonstrated problem-solving capability.

  • Proficiency in the English language. Greek speaking will be desirable, but not mandatory.
