The role of the CyberSOC Security Advisor is focusing on maintaining and improving the security posture of Orange Cyberdefense’s managed service customers. As part of Global Operations, the Security Advisor will build up a strong relationship with medium to big size customers, acting as their tactical and strategic point of contact.


This role will accompany our clients starting during the phase of onboarding new services, improving existing service components on a technical as well as an organizational level, and act as a trusted advisor in conversations with all involved business stakeholders.

Furthermore, as part of our CyberSOC Professional services team, the Security Advisor is responsible for designing and deploying architectures for our Managed Security Services, focusing on complex projects and multi-service customers.

Key Responsibilities

    • Assist customers with architecture and design specifically in relation to managed service delivery.
    • Troubleshoot performance issues to build better architecture.
    • Analyze data to create business value and/or investigate technical issues.
    • Automate processes to reduce delivery time of our services. Work closely with Security Analysts and SIEM engineers to understand their technical needs.
    • Proactively improve architecture designs to support new features or services.
    • Advise our customers on both technical and organizational matters to improve the overall security posture.
    • Act as trusted advisor on GRC topics, like security governance and risk management.
    • Be an active part of conversations with all involved business stakeholders.

Skills & Experience you should bring

The Security Advisor shall possess the following skills and experience: 

    • Finished apprenticeship in the IT field or completed studies in the field of computer science, Cyber Security or something similar with relevant professional experience.
    • Knowledge of operating system concepts related to Linux.
    • Experience in designing and deploying data platforms.
    • Solid understanding of industry-standard SIEM platforms (preferably Splunk or MS Sentinel)
    • Sufficient understanding of scripting languages such as bash and python.
    • Knowledge of GRC-related topics, such as security governance, compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO27k, SOC 2, NIS2, DORA, …)
    • Feel comfortable being in customer-facing tasks and conversations.
    • Be confident when communicating to a wider audience which is not technically experienced.
    • Good knowledge of German and English.
