Our Technology strategy is promoting the adoption of cloud services and use of repeatable, pattern-based delivery methods. To maintain a secure cloud, we’re working to enhance our software development lifecycle. As a result, we are seeking a Lead Security Architect to take the lead on creating secure application pipelines, managing cloud-based workloads, and incorporating security measures by embracing DevSecOps. This person will play a critical role in developing our capability and realising the ambitions of our technology strategy.

How you’ll help us make health happen: 

• Provide leadership in the development, design, communication and application of Security Architecture to ensure Bupa has a fit for purpose solutions for security across the whole Group.

• Ensure alignment on IT security architecture and security technology direction across Business and IT Leaders.

• Own, communicate and collaboratively develop the Bupa Enterprise Security Solutions Architecture to meet the information risk strategy and policies

• Interpret security policies and lead the development of standards and guidelines that comply with this

• Develop standards and patterns in the field of Enterprise Security Architecture in line with Bupa’s risk appetite.

• Engage with Market Units to support the delivery of Group Security Solutions.

• Assess the impact of new technologies, legislation and services on the Security approach in Bupa.

• Provide expertise and recommendations, as required, to Enterprise Architects, Solutions Architects and Senior Leaders.

 What you’ll bring 

• A proven track record of delivering secure cloud architectures, this must include experience of building novel security controls in a cloud environment.

• Experience of influencing the security aspects of system design, ensuring robust security measures are built in from the start.

• Experience of identifying security issues in architectures and proposing plans for how to address them.

• A proven track record of developing repeatable patterns and principles and communicating these to broad audiences.

• A methodical approach to evaluating the security of system architectures and the ability to clearly describe your evaluation process.

• The ability able to advise on the security implications of new technological trends, especially in the context of cloud migration, and articulate the necessary changes in security strategy.

• Knowledge of one or more of; secure application deployment, network security, microservices, or identity management, and how these contribute to security architecture.
