Discover the connected platform that's bridging gaps and aligning interests of healthcare payers, providers, and healthcare consumers.Job Description: Zelis is looking for a skilled and experienced Cybersecurity/Vulnerability Management Analyst with expertise in Web Application Firewall (WAF) technology to join our dynamic cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management of our vulnerability scanning tool, with a focus on securing our web applications through effective WAF management.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Vulnerability Scanning: Manage scheduled vulnerability scanning of network, systems, and applications on both on-premise and cloud environments to identify security weaknesses and potential threats using Tenable Nessus
- Tenable Configuration: Configure and optimize Tenable to ensure effective vulnerability scanning, tagging, and reporting.
- Remediation Planning: Collaborate with IT and application teams to develop and deliver remediation reports based on Tenable scan results, prioritizing vulnerabilities based on risk.
- WAF Configuration and Management: Design, implement, and manage WAF configurations to protect web applications from common vulnerabilities and emerging threats.
- WAF Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network administrators, and security teams, to integrate WAF into the overall security architecture.
Experience and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Proven experience in a Vulnerability Management role or similar Cybersecurity position, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Proficient with security tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Imperva, F5 or similar
- Proven experience in vulnerability management, security analysis, and WAF configuration and management.
- Understanding of web application security principles, OWASP Top 10, and common attack vectors.
- Excellent understanding of threat detection and incident response procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and characterize security events effectively.
- Understanding of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools and methodologies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other IT and security professionals.
- Knowledge of security best practices, industry standards, and compliance.
- Ability to maintain detailed incident reports, security procedures, and documentation for compliance and future reference.
- Stay up to date with the latest security threats, technologies, and industry best practices to improve vulnerability remediation effectiveness.
