On the job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. Job Description

As a Security Analyst, you will develop expertise in information security, working collaboratively with the Security and Risk Management teams across IT and Chief Information Security Office (CISO).   You will be helping Pearson analyze problems, working with technical partners and teams to understand the security architecture, product development and threat landscape, and assist in implementing and managing new security services and enabling tools and processes.

What do the 10 weeks involve?

Security analyst interns will work in one of two areas at Pearson: the Security Operations Center (SOC) or the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team. In the SOC, interns will collaborate with the Red and Blue teams, participate in penetration tests, and engage in cybersecurity threat intelligence. In the GRC team, interns will help Pearson manage risks, meet regulations, and align IT strategy with business goals. During the interview, you will have the opportunity to clarify which area you are most interested in working.

These functions include the Security Operations Center (SOC), threat intelligence, forensic investigations, risk management, product security, security testing, and vulnerability remediation. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work on and contribute to security architecture and security engineering initiatives.
