Get started now.A Fraud & Security Analyst at First Commonwealth is responsible for executing the physical security program for the bank and its corporate facilities. This includes implementation of policies and procedures, monitoring of security equipment, managing vendors responsible for installation, inspection and servicing of security equipment, and responding to security systems/equipment activations. Additionally, a Fraud & Security Analyst identifies, investigates and responds to fraud and other crimes involving the bank, its customers or employees. S/he reviews and responds to potentially fraudulent transactions and researches and investigates cases of fraud and other financial crimes. S/he may interview victims, witnesses and suspects while cooperating with law enforcement and bank legal counsel and taking actions as appropriate to minimize or recover losses resulting from suspected fraudulent or criminal activities.
Essential Job Responsibilities__________________________________
1. Executes the administration of the security program, policies and procedures, i.e., monitors the timely completion and documentation of security related activities, such as alarm testing.
2. Monitors and coordinates security equipment (DVRs, cameras, alarms and card access) along with device servicing/inspections as necessary, per contract agreements.
3. Reviews daily output from any systems reporting to detect or prevent fraudulent transaction and performs necessary activities.
4. Conducts investigations into suspected fraudulent actions taken against the organization, its clients and account base. Collects evidence, conducts interviews, and documents results.
5. Performs the initial review of reported suspicious activity and required follow up actions leading to and including timely filing of Suspicious Activity Reports.
6. Responds to security alarm systems/equipment activations and performs resulting required activities.
7. Prepares suspicious activity reports for filing with appropriate regulatory agencies under the direction of the Bank Secrecy Act Officer.
8. Responds to any act of crime at branch or corporate locations and is responsible for working with law enforcement on providing any video or other evidence needed to conduct the investigation.
9. Schedules and coordinates security guard coverage (continuous or as needed) with the approved guard company.
10. Is required to be on-call for security or fraud issues that require immediate response. The on-call rotation varies depending on staffing.
11. Provides support to branch and back-office staff in relation to all types of fraud issues.
Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications___________________________
1. Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in banking operations, systems, and/or security.
3. Basic understanding of laws and regulations applicable to bank secrecy, bank security and funds transfers, including UCC Articled 3, 4 and 4A, NACHA rules and Regulation E, insofar as they impact security and fraud.
4. Proficient reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematical skills; proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills.
5. Proficient computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and/or related software.
6. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel as necessary within the bank’s footprint is required.
