• Salary Range - $60.00 to $65.00 per hour
• Location - Port Hueneme, CA on site (not remote)
• Duration - This position is 4.5 months with the possibility of continuing
• Clearance - Secret

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer specializing in Cyber Systems to design, implement, maintain, and support our organization's network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, firewalls, and VPN technologies to ensure the overall security and integrity of our network systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience working as a Network Engineer with a focus on Cyber Systems.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security principles.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, firewall technologies, and VPN solutions.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP are a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain secure network systems to meet the organization's needs.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary solutions.
• Implement and maintain network security measures to protect against cyber threats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure meets business requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams on network-related issues.

Skills

• Ability to perform the configuration of switches, routers, and firewalls is crucial for this position. Configuration/knowledge of WAN and LAN networks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and technologies.
• Up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends and developments.
