Who we Are:

Intel's Government Information Technology and Security (GITS) organization enables Intel to win United States Government business by providing secure products, solutions, and services which meet U.S. regulatory requirements. The GITS team is part of Intel's Information Security organization and supports the unique IT information Security and Compliance requirements for Intel Federal LLC, a subsidiary of Intel that delivers products and/or services to the US Government (USG). As part of the GITS team, you will help us grow our secure solution suite to meet U.S. Government requirements for data safeguarding.

Our Team is looking for a talented and motivated individual with strong Information Security technical skills to rapidly learn and adopt new technologies. We are growing our On-prem and Cloud solution suite to meet US Government requirements for data safeguarding. Our mission requires a continuous transformation of our current solutions to embrace a hybrid architecture in order to meet the growing demands of our business. We need your help to build, support, and secure compliant solutions that will scale to meet the demand.

As part of your role, you will:

  • Be part of an Agile Kanban team and be expected to implement, support, and enhance the security posture of GITS solutions to maintain the compliance and security of Intel Federal capabilities.
  • Be responsible for the security event monitoring of our solutions, including the definition, tuning, and automation of monitoring capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies, Federal regulations and standards.
  • Guide the proper implementation and validation of security controls.
  • Work with customers and stakeholders to respond to security incidents and lead mitigation work to avoid repeat incidents.

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and / or schoolwork/classes/research.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US citizenship required.  This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States [federal, state, and/or local] government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or in a related field of study and 1+ years of experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in or with the following:
    • Windows and/or Linux security OS deployment and support, including event log reviews and incident response workflows
    • Log monitoring, SIEM type solutions and workflows
    • Application security solutions (SAST, DAST)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Security controls design, evaluation and assessment
  • Script writing for automation and integration (e.g. PowerShell, .Net, Python, etc.)
  • Using Privilege Access Management (PAM) or similar tools
  • Security or Cyber certifications such as: Security+, CISSP, CISA, GMON, GPEN, GCIH, OSCP, etc.
  • Storage, backup, and recovery solution management
  • Virtualization infrastructure deployment and support
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$83,077.00-$124,371.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
