Senior Developer - The Engine Mechanics

Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to be part of making that happen.

The Senior Java Developer will contribute to our R&D department, by taking on big challenges and make a significant impact in its standards-based security automation technology stack.  In this position, you’ll spend your time neck-deep in technology that’s used every day to scan millions of machines for security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
 

You Will:

• Create and scale high-performance services in a real-time threat analysis pipeline

• Architect, design, develop, test and deliver software in an agile environment

• Deploy containerised services to production within hours after your changes are merged, in keeping with our culture of Continuous Integration and Infrastructure-as-Code

• Work as part of a team of highly skilled engineers

• Continuously learn and expand your technical horizons

You’ll Be Successful In This Role If:

• Excited to work at the intersection of Big Data and the Cybersecurity problem spaces

• 5+ years of experience shipping production-quality software

• Love coding

• Experience deploying services on cloud computing platforms (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experience working on distributed systems and microservices architecture is preferred

• Multi-threading and non-blocking I/O

• Networking protocols and data interchange formats

• Windows, Unix/Linux, macOS, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, VMWare ESXi

• Vulnerability Scanners

• Golang

• Kubernetes (K8s)

Our Technology Stack:  Java, C#, Python, Powershell, Golang, JavaScript, Maven, Docker, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Kubernetes or ECS, Linux
 

Interview Process:
The interview process is approximately as follows:

• Phone pre-screening: A recruiter contacts you to briefly discuss your work history and provide an overview of Arctic Wolf. Approximately 30 minutes.

• Technical assessment: A recruiter sends you a link to a straightforward technical assessment that is relevant to the role you are applying for. Approximately 2-4 hours.

• Face-to-face interviews: Several team members conduct two interviews to learn more about you and provide more information about your potential role and team. Be prepared to collaborate on a technical problem and talk more about past projects and your career goals. Approximately 1 hour per interview.
