About the Role

 

As a member of a diverse global Cyber Reinsurance Team, you will underwrite and market profitable new and existing reinsurance business opportunities with clients in the EMEA region. Client and market responsibilities will be defined considering your profile and preferences.

 

In this role, you will

  • Originate, analyze and underwrite Cyber treaty business in compliance with our risk appetite, guidelines and within allocated authority
  • Contribute to Swiss Re's relationships with dedicated clients and brokers
  • Drive actuarial pricing projects in Cyber
  • Collaborate with the broader Swiss Re team on joint business

In Global Specialty (P&C Reinsurance), we are a diverse team of problem solvers driven by passion and powered by knowledge. With over 200 underwriters across 10+ offices, our team combines Swiss Re's dedicated Agriculture, Aviation, Credit & Surety, Cyber, Engineering, Marine & Energy and Nuclear business.

 

Our purpose is to make today's and tomorrow's complex risks more accessible and lead Swiss Re's innovation and sustainability ambitions. In this position, you will be working in the Cyber Reinsurance team in Zurich. Teamplay, open communication and joint learning are the cornerstones of our team culture.

 

About You

 

You are a highly self-motivated colleague who identifies with your team and is eager to contribute and be successful together. Thanks to your strong communication skills and your effective handling of tasks, you are comfortable in engaging with clients, striking a good balance between precision and pragmatism. 

 

  • You hold a university degree or equivalent, strong preference in actuarial sciences, mathematics, statistics or similar.
  • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a reinsurance actuarial or treaty underwriting role, with an understanding of reinsurance structures, costing methods and contract wordings.
  • You have a genuine curiosity about digitization and cyber security.
  • Business proficiency in English, French and German.
