The Role:
We are a digital enterprise where continuous uptime and a seamless IT experience are pivotal to our success. The IT Engineering Manager role is a highly visible and valued opportunity for the right candidate to make an immediate impact in the Americas region. Based in New York, this position will also oversee IT operations for our offices in New York and San Francisco.

This role is ideal for an operationally-minded individual with extensive technical experience across various IT disciplines, who is excited to grow alongside the IT systems, processes, and infrastructure in a rapidly expanding environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the IT strategy for the Americas, aligned with the region's overall business goals.
- Drive innovation by identifying and adopting cutting-edge technologies.
- Lead digital transformation efforts to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
- Champion the integration of emerging technologies to foster business growth.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of robust cybersecurity and information security measures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards.
- Manage and optimise the IT infrastructure to support business operations.
- Evaluate and implement scalable and efficient cloud solutions.
- Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Evaluate and select technology vendors and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure vendor performance meets business expectations.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
- Provide regular financial reporting and analysis.
Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of hardware, software, networking, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management.
- Familiarity with programming languages, software development methodologies, and application architecture.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence, and data visualisation tools to derive insights and support decision-making.
- Awareness of trends such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT) and their potential business impact.
- Ability to plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Experience in negotiating and managing contracts with technology vendors.
- Ability to develop and manage IT budgets effectively.
Academia, Certifications & Experience:
- A Master's degree in a technical or science discipline.
- CISSP or equivalent certification.
- Start-up experience preferred.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2™, Scrum Master).

Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $125,000, 20 vacation days, 10 company holidays & business closure during winter holiday week
- Coverage for up to 90% of your medical premiums and 75% of your dental and vision insurance premiums
- 401(k) match – 4% of your total compensation matched dollar-for-dollar
- Option to WFH on Fridays
