Peraton is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer/Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of Peratons’ Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes.
Location: Rosslyn, VA. Flexible for occasional telework – must be local to work location
In this role, you will:
- Conduct telecommunications security surveys/inspections.
- Determines the scope of each telecommunications survey/inspection and identifies security issues pertaining to technical security standards, conducts in-depth security analysis and recommends countermeasures to resolve existing or potential technical hazards.
- Respond to inquiries from overseas posts and domestic offices related to 12 FAM and 12 FAH policies on telecommunications systems (Department of State telecommunication specific policies).
- Provide research and fact-checks, review and edits for official correspondence used in support of exception requests.
- Prepare professional-quality written reports detailing findings and recommendations gathered during telecommunications surveys/inspection activities.
- Provide direct assistance and evaluate telephony security in accordance with industry best practices, installation guidance, and product selection expertise for DOS secure and non-secure voice programs.
- Provide telephone systems vulnerability mitigation review to engineering and installation plans based upon DOS polices and National Standards and Instructions.
- Perform post-installation compliance inspection of telecommunication systems.
- Archive and distribute TSP Quarterly Reports, track follow-on actions and activities.

Qualifications
Required:
- 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters degree. An additional 4 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Possess one of the following certifications, OR be able to obtain within six months of start date:
- CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, CCNA-Security, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CISSP (or Associate), CND, CSSLP, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, GSLC, Security+ CE, SSCP, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev
- U.S. citizenship required.
- An active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret security clearance with SCI.

Target Salary Range
