The Position

About the Position:


Are you a recent graduate passionate about cybersecurity and ready to make an impact in the world of healthcare technology? At Roche, we are seeking an enthusiastic Associate CyberSecurity Engineer to join our global IT security team, supporting innovative solutions that protect sensitive information and ensure the integrity of our IT infrastructure.
This entry-level role is an opportunity to learn and develop within an international environment, collaborating with teams worldwide to help safeguard critical healthcare data.


Your Role:


As an Associate CyberSecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for helping implement and manage cybersecurity measures. This will include monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents while ensuring that Roche’s systems meet the highest security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in designing and implementing cybersecurity strategies and solutions.
Monitor security systems, identify vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents.
Support vulnerability management by conducting regular scans and reviews.
Help manage access controls and support firewall configurations.
Maintain an inventory of cybersecurity tools and assets.
Contribute to the operational support of Roche’s security infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud.


Qualifications:
Recent graduate -no more than 3 years- holding a university degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Basic understanding of network security,  firewalls, access controls,  VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS).
Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, observability, etc ).
Eager to learn and explore new security technologies with a strong curiosity to understand emerging trends and their potential impact on cybersecurity.
Strong communication skills, including proficiency in written and spoken English.
