National Security Systems Security Architect – Springfield, VA

Full Visibility is seeking a National Security Systems Security Architect to work in Springfield, VA. Candidate must possess an active Top Secret/SCI Eligible clearance.

The NSS Security Architect will lead and support secure architecture initiatives for national security systems. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure IT infrastructures that comply with strict national security standards and requirements. They will design and implement secure architectures for classified systems that meet national security regulations. The candidate will lead security assessments and architecture reviews to ensure system compliance with federal security frameworks (e.g., CNSS, RMF, NIST). They will collaborate with senior stakeholders, security teams, and engineers to develop comprehensive security strategies. The candidate will create and maintain detailed security documentation, including system security plans, risk assessments, and architecture diagrams. They will evaluate and integrate cutting-edge security technologies to enhance the security posture of national security systems. It is expected the candidate will provide expert-level guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.

Requirements

● Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
● At least ten (10+) years of experience in security architecture, with a focus on national security or defense systems
● In-depth knowledge of federal security frameworks (e.g., CNSS 1253, RMF, NIST 800-53)
● Proven experience designing and securing complex, classified IT systems
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
● Certifications: GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent

Preferred
● Experience with cross-domain solutions and secure information exchange systems
● Familiarity with the intelligence community and DoD security requirements
