Are you passionate about cryptography and keen to lead a team dedicated to safeguarding critical data in a fast-moving, cloud-native environment? NewDay is looking for a Lead Cryptography Engineer to take charge of our cryptography and key management capabilities, ensuring the security of millions of transactions across our digital credit platform.

What You’ll Do:

• Own cryptographic operations: Lead the design and implementation of secure key storage mechanisms that are foundational to our cloud-native consumer lending platform.
• End-to-end key management: Oversee the full lifecycle of cryptographic keys, from generation to distribution and rotation, ensuring best-in-class security practices.
• Team leadership: Mentor and develop a team of cryptographic engineers, fostering innovation and resilience.
• Security collaboration: Work closely with cybersecurity teams to integrate cryptographic solutions into our broader security strategy.
• Stay compliant: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as PCI-DSS, NIST, and FIPS, and contribute to audit and assurance processes.

What You’ll Bring:

• Deep expertise in cryptographic operations and key management.
• Hands-on experience with HSM technologies and cloud-native cryptographic tools (e.g., HashiCorp Vault).
• Proven leadership in building and managing technical teams.
• Strong understanding of encryption techniques and security frameworks.
• Experience in financial services, consumer lending, or payments is a plus.
