As part of the leadership team in Tesserent RAD, you will work closely with the heads of other areas, the Senior Partner and a project manager. This is to ensure client projects are delivered on time and to the high standards expected within Tesserent RAD. You will be responsible for building a team of researchers, security engineers, managing client relationships and proactively contributing to the work of the team. This role may require you to get an Australian Government security clearance.



ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the security research team, shaping the way the team does vulnerability research while maintaining flexible arrangements.
  • Identification of targets based on commercial and strategic needs.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our research practices.
  • Rebuild and expand a small team of highly skilled vulnerability research and security engineers.
  • Ensure supporting documentation and procedures are developed and maintained for a project.
  • Liaise with other internal teams to ensure research is done as efficiently and professionally as possible.



ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • A passion for a career in Technology and Cyber Security.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work effectively in small teams, ensuring synergy and optimal project outcomes.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-reliance and initiative in delivering high-quality security solutions.
  • Solid understanding of cyber security principles and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.​
  • Contemporary knowledge of cyber security trends and threats.​



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience is highly regarded.
  • Relevant work experience in research, in particular dealing with Government funded research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for effective collaboration and client engagement.
  • Experience managing local and/or remote staff.
  • Aptitude and genuine interest in leadership and people management.
