Z Series Security Administrator

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Security Administrator for IBM Z Series with a primary focus on RACF for z/OS. The Security Administrator will be a part of the Hybrid Cloud services unit. This Consultant will need to be able to assist clients with their Z Security needs and be responsible for the security of the team's internal Z Security.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum of 5 years' experience with IT security, specifically related to IBM Z Series.
• Ability to determine which RACF functions to use, identify the level of RACF protection, identify which data RACF is to protect and define administrative structures and users.
• Experience with IBM Z Series specific tools and technologies, including RACF, zSecure, CARLA, ICSF, MFA, etc.
• Experience with building security reports.
• Experience with various components and structures relating to the SAF interface.
• Extensive knowledge with SSO, Active Directory (AD), LDAP, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), privileged accounts, integration of application programming interface (API), implementation and support of digital certificates, encryption technologies, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, and SSH.
• Experience working with USS and its security features.
• Understanding of Z Series network protocols, operating systems, and virtualization technologies
• Collaborate with various teams to optimize and maintain zero trust model.
• Understanding of access control principles and security best practices
• Provides technical support to business, technology associates and clients in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate security procedures, standards, and technologies.
• Understanding of the current privacy and data laws
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in providing advice, recommendations, mentoring and technical support for Z series security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess client's Z security infrastructure.
• Identify potential vulnerabilities and security threats within the Z infrastructure.
• Integration of Z and non-Z security architectures as needed.
• Implementation of Z specific security controls for new systems and features
• Assist in the migration of various Z security vendor packages.
• Assist with client proposals for Z security requirements and projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in client facing environments with effective presentation skills
• Possess project process improvement experience.
• Professionalism and an effective communication style is a necessity in this position.
• A four-year degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Physical environmental factors of this position include those found in typical business office environment or home office environment.
• Requires use of general office equipment and personal computer equipment.
• Ability to travel. Various means of travel may be required, including auto and air travel. This position requires travel: Occasionally
