Cyber Security Architect

Your day to day

The Telco Security Architecture team is responsible for developing Security Technology Roadmaps, Target Architectures, Technical Guidance, High Level Designs, Design Patterns and are experts in the security products and solutions we use in the Mobile and Fixed Telecommunication Networks area.

You will be a good fit if you have experience in some or all of these areas as well as an awareness of Security Frameworks and concepts

You will take a leading role and ownership of the security design/architecture and is responsible for its delivery. You have the enthusiasm and drive to see through the concepts and deliver on the initial vision.

You are a expert in your domain, not in everything though! We expect our experts to be continually learning, curious, enthusiastic about security technology and the benefits it can bring to our business.

You will be expected to bring teams and leadership together behind your vision. You will be an advocate of security amongst the business.

You have great communication skills, both verbal and written. With the ability to explain ‘Why’ and ‘What’ to stakeholders at multiple levels and adapting style and content as required.

You will be keen to find solutions to problems, working through ambiguity, breaking down these down into workable steps to detail out in the roadmap. Searching out pragmatic solutions that are a good fit across the business, not just in isolated use cases.

Whilst being a technical expert who is rightfully excited and curious about technological solutions you should have a wide enough view and realisation that people are at the centre of all technology – be that Customers, Employees or Partners.

You will be required to use your breadth of skill, expertise and experience in order to support operational and business challenges. You will be expected to use this in order to assist with clear and rapid analysis of issues and propose solutions to them.

You have problem solving skills, Strong analysis skills, Technical Leadership

CISSP, TOGAF, SABSA

Knowledge of sec standards – NCSC, ISO, NIST, CIS, OWASP Top 10

Network, Data Centre, Cloud, Security Operations, Infosec
