Position Summary:

Are you interested in working for UDRI, a national leader in scientific and engineering research, serving government, industry and nonprofit customers? Our Applied Sensing division invites qualified candidates to apply for our DevSecOps/Integration Software Developer opening!

This position will work as part of a diverse and integrated team, developing software for autonomous vehicles within a DevSecOps framework. This position may include writing and testing software in several high-level languages; configuring and testing hardware systems; developing and testing software applications from concept to implementation; and performing systems integration and testing for technology maturation. The position will require the ability to quickly learn new software packages and systems, including the build process through configuration and running the deployed applications. It will also help with the integration of various software packages into a Software-in-Loop (SIL)/Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) lab. There may be flexibility to work remotely for some portion of the job, but most of the work will be performed on-site in Dayton, OH as part of a larger team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, OR MS degree plus 2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to work as part of a diverse technical team
• Ability to develop deployable software in C/C++, Java or Python
• Experience using and developing in Linux
• Experience using Docker
• Ability to obtain US SECRET clearance
• Due to requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• BS (or higher) degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Demonstrated experience implementing complex algorithms for autonomous vehicles
• Demonstrated experience working in a DoD-funded research environment
• Demonstrated ability working with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Demonstrated experience working with Kubernetes
• Demonstrated experience working with RHEL 8.x
• Demonstrated experience working with Spring Boot/REST
• Demonstrated experience integrating disparate software components into a single, coherent system
• Demonstrated experience supporting lab and flight testing of integrated software systems
• Experience with Spring Boot and REST development
• Active US SECRET (or higher) clearance
