Eugene, OR: Technical Penetration Tester, Cybersecurity Assessment

Position Overview  Technical Penetration Tester is responsible for performing the technical aspects of penetration testing, including all elements of external and internal penetration testing, as well as specializations that may include application penetration testing, security configuration review, wireless penetration testing, etc. In addition, this position must support the program assessment team in providing Program Review, Risk Assessment, IT General Control audit, and related services.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert external technical penetration testing.
• Perform expert internal technical penetration testing.
• Perform expert specialized penetration testing, e.g. application penetration testing, wireless penetration testing, security configuration review.
• Provide sales management, including proposal development and quality control.
• Perform information security programs reviews and information security risk assessments, and IT general control audits.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.

Core Competencies

• Detailed knowledge of highly technical sales process, from prospecting to contract signing and customer satisfaction.
• Detailed knowledge of the information security risk management programs.
• Research, understand, and apply complex information security concepts to auditing and assessment procedures.
• Detailed knowledge of current technical penetration testing tools and techniques.
• Strong Windows and Linux skills.
• Ability to effectively document findings in a timely fashion.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, thus driving client satisfaction.
• Research, understand and apply complex information security concepts and auditing, assessment and testing procedures.
• Develop, motivate and mentor associates by providing training, regular feedback, and career guidance while fostering a team environment.
• Assist in the delivery of proposals for engagements by knowing the range of firm services.

• Demonstrated experience working in a close team.

• Strong desire to continuously learn highly technical concepts and processes.
• Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make appropriate recommendations.
• Ability to synthesize all forms of research into clear, thoughtful, actionable deliverables.
• Understands client needs, identifies root causes of problems, and implements pragmatic solutions.

Other requirements
• The position is mostly sedentary and requires sitting/standing for long periods of time.
• This position requires occasional travel.
